During ancient times human rights were not recognized by ancient people,thus, all crime were tried
using torture and ordeals to determine the innocence or guilt of the accused. The bases of conducting
trial by ordeal in ancient days is that they believed God's judgement. Ordeals is conducted to determine
the guilt of the suspect, were people in ancient times believe that God will protect the innocent against
harm during trials.

2. No, these days people advocate human rights, they fight for fair and equal treatment of every
individuals regardless of race, gender and age. Using such barbaric methods in present time as a means
of detecting deception will cause more harm in the community. Trial by ordeal violate the suspect's
rights violating the constitutional law which prohibits such acts.

3. For me Ordeal by divination is sensible and logical because it seeks guidance from spiritual beings.
Unlike physical tests, this approach is seen as fairer and more objective, as it removes human bias from
the decision-making process. ordeal by divination offers a holistic and spiritual approach to resolving
issues ,making it a sensible choice in ancient society.

6. According to science Dry mouth is sometimes considered a sign of deception because when people
feel anxious or nervous, their body's stress response can cause a decrease in saliva production, leading
to a dry mouth.In other words, accused's tongue is burnt if he/she is guilt because of this reason.

7. In terms of faith involved Yes, people believe in ancient time that God protect the innocent and
punish the guilty. In Rational part No, because there are so many circumstances that may alter the
results of the ordeal. Trial by ordeal violates human rights of the accused putting him in inhumane
suffering that have affect on physical, emotional and mental health even death.

8. Trial by ordeal was used in ancient times to determine guilt or innocence due to several factors.
Firstly, people believed in divine intervention and thought that gods or supernatural forces would reveal
the truth. Additionally, trial by ordeal provided a seemingly objective method in societies lacking
scientific understanding. Cultural and religious practices also played a significant role, as trial by ordeal
was deeply rooted in ancient customs. Lastly, community acceptance reinforced its legitimacy as a fair
and just means of resolving Issues.

9. On my experience, I determine if someone is guilty of lying or not base on his/her behavior and ask
other people information about the issue. One time I put my money in the bag and later on I discover
that it was missing. After investigating I found it in the bag of my housemate and some money were
missing.

10, In social media platforms I determine if the available information is true or not by checking the
credibility of the publisher or writer. Many people publish fake information to deceive people and to
brain wash them into believing their ideas. To determine the guilt or innocence of the posser is hard
especially when you don't do your own research.
