CAREER OBJECTIVE

I am a highly motivated and reliable individual based in Rockingham and am currently seeking a
job as an operator or trade assistant and other job opportunities within Western Australia to
assist in further defining my career in the local industrial field and mining industry. I am full of
energy and able to do a lot of heavy lifting and can work in extreme weather conditions. I have
great mathematical, English understanding, great problem-solving skills and have good
computer understanding. Can work well in a team environment and have great work health and
safety awareness. I have one year and two months of mining FIFO experience and have fixed
and mobile crushing plant experience. I know how to operate basic hand tools, equipment, can
operate handheld/stationary grinders and other cutting tools and can work well with teammates
to complete a task/project under supervision or not and have great communication skills. I enjoy
operating machinery and always do risk assessments to make sure my work doesn’t cause
harm to myself and workmates.
For the past five years, I have worked within multiple jobs across WA in ship building, retail and
mining industries. I class myself as a hard-working, conscientious person and am willing to work
in any environment including continue working upon my manual labour skills.
I am applying for this opportunity as I would like to be able to further build my career into a well
more challenging and unique job within Western Australia. I believe that this position suits me
as I am confident and eager to learn more and get more life and career experience and this is
the exact industrial exposure, I need to further grow my future long-term career. I am also highly
competent with hand to eye coordination, fast learner, can operate hand tools and machinery
and am highly interested in getting this opportunity.

Mineral Resources Limited – CSI DEC 2020 - Current

For about seven months I worked with CSI at Roy hill, operated a wheel loader
feeding a jaw crushing fixed plant. Then from July I have been going from site to site
with Rio Tinto operating a wheel loader and Moxy on a mobile screening plant.

For three months I worked as a Trade assistant at Austal assisting mechanical fitters in
pipe cutting, cutting brackets to measurements and installing them, installing valves,
reading drawings as well as other TA work like cleaning.

 Conducting a risk assessment like Take 5 before commencing a task and


manage WHS and environmental hazards in the workplace

 Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing or bolting

For one month I worked with mechanical fitters and conveyor technicians on conveyor
belts as work experience for my certificate II in mechanical fitting TAFE course. In a
team of six to eight we maintained and replaced roller frames for trough and return
rollers as well as roller changeouts.

For almost two years, I worked as a main senior crew member assisting head management
with daily management of the busy Pizza restaurant assisting as both front desk and
kitchen hand in making multiple pizza orders including sides. My duties in this role also
included:

 Opening the store and closing it at a given time.

available.

For about six months, I learned about engineering drawings/equations/signs, tools and
operating hand tools and machinery according to the specified machinery/tool safety/operation
rules/procedures. In a class of fifteen we learned about machining, workshop safety and rules
to follow while operating machinery. Before commencing a project or entering a workshop I
made sure I had the right PPE and did a JSA then did the project in a timely manner and
submitted it to the lecturer then did a test based on that project. After i finished all required
units we spent three weeks doing work experience at Austal.

 Learned about workshop/industrial safety, regulations and hazard


identification and control measures.
 Worked as a team to complete projects.
 Learned about appropriate PPE to wear in workshops and for
different tasks.
 Did planning and a JSA- Job Safety Analysis before doing a project.
 Learned about engineering drawings and how to interpret them.
 Knowing engineering equations and symbols.
 Learned how to operate different machineries.
 Learned about oxy-cutting and grinding.
 Learned about different engineering hand tools and measuring
equipment.
 Did three weeks of work experience at Austal.
