Ilocos Sur Negosyo Center – MSMEs Assisted

1. Justification of accomplishments way over targets.

The following PAPs were implemented to exceed the targets for the number of MSMEs assisted.

- Intensified the campaign on DTI Services through seminars, trainings, financing forums, and
advocacies;
- NC San Juan and NC Burgos collaborated with the Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) to conduct entrepreneurship seminars for 4Ps beneficiaries;
- Conducted Industry Cluster Profiling in the various municipalities in the province;
- NC Lidlidda, NC Sugpon, and NC Tagudin participated and assisted during the conduct of local
trade fairs (Begnas di Ilocos Apit ken Partuat di Tribu Trade Fair, Sugpon Agri-Trade Fair,
Tikanlu Festival).
2. What strategies did we employ to generate more resources?
- 20 Negosyo Centers of DTI Ilocos Sur collaborated with different stakeholders such as the
Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur (PGIS), Local Government Units (LGUs), Technical Education
and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST),
Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and academe in the
implementation of the agency’s programs, projects and activities. With the limited resources of NC,
these stakeholders have agreed to share the cost of implementing the identified PAPs.
