 List of Materials
Materials for plush Rabbit:

1. Super Bulky/Super Chunky velvet yarn Wolans bunny baby No. 28.
Can be replaced with Himalaya Dolphin baby or Yarn Art Dolce.
Their yarn consumption is approximately the same (0.5 a skein).
1 skein end-to-end is enough for 2 rabbits, try not to leave long ends,
otherwise it may not be enough.
2. Hook size 3.5 mm.
3. Round black safety eyes or loop buttons for sewing on size 6 mm.
4. Fiberfill - 10 g.

Materials for fluffy Rabbit:

1. Super Bulky/Super Chunky faux fur yarn Himalaya Koala No.730,

0.6 a skein.
2. Hook size 3.5 mm.
3. Round black safety eyes or loop buttons for sewing on size 10 mm.
For fluffy rabbit, I used larger eyes, since the small ones are almost
invisible behind the fluffy yarn.
4. Fiberfill - 10 g.

Other tools:

5. Stitch markers (you can use pins or a contrasting thread).

6. Scissors.
7. Safety pins to fix and sew the pieces.

The height of the rabbit is 13 cm, with ears - 17 cm.

 About types of yarn
The rabbit can be crocheted from any yarn. There are two options in
the pattern: from velvet and faux fur yarn.

If you want to crochet a Rabbit from Sport weight/4ply yarn (Gazzal

baby cotton or Yarn Art JEANS), then crochet as from the velvet yarn -
with the right side out.

If you use yarn that needs to be combed to make it fluffy (NAKO Paris,
Kamtex Cotton Grass), crochet as from faux fur yarn.

You can choose any color of yarn. I recommend using natural shades.
At the end of the pattern there is an addition - how to comb a toy out
of such yarn.

MR - magic ring (you can make ch2 and crochet 6 sc in the second
chain from the hook).

sc - single crochet

inc - increase (2 sc in one stitch)

dec - decrease (2 sc together)

dc - double crochet

(2dc in one stitch)

(sc, inc) х N - repeat instruction in brackets N times

Introduction
Crochet in spiral rounds, do not connect the end and the beginning of
the round with slip stitches.

When crocheting in a spiral, the crocheting shifts to the side.

The amount of shifting depends on your crochet density, thread
tension, crocheting method (crosses or check marks) and the
crocheting of decreases. Your shifting may not match mine. I crochet
with check marks and make invisible decreases.

In the description, I indicate the places for crocheting the holes for
the forelegs. If my option does not suit you, then move the marker of
the round beginning a couple of stitches forward, crocheting
additional sc, or a couple of stitches back, dissolving several stitches
of the previous round, depending on your situation.

The video shows how to move the wool apart so that the chain of loops is
visible and it is easier to crochet from faux fur yarn.

Front side Wrong side

When working with faux fur yarn, crochet with the wrong side out, as it is
fluffier. It is crocheted in the same way as the front side, only the wrong
side will be on the outside, and the front side will be inside. You need to
crochet counterclockwise from the inside. You can crochet the first few
roundss as usual, and then turn the wrong side out.

the legs is not centered, you need to go back to the beginning of the

 Forelegs
There are different starting points for velvet and faux fur yarn. This is
necessary so that for a velvet yarn the crocheting goes right side out,
and for a fax fur yarn - the wrong side out. The description of the
rounds is the same. The only difference is how we hold the toy and in
which direction we crochet.

For velvet yarn:

at the beginning crochet the right
foreleg. Attach the yarn to the first
stitch on the right side, holding the
toy upside down. Crochet from the
next stitch in a clockwise direction.

For faux fur yarn:

at the beginning crochet the left
foreleg. Attach the yarn to the first
stitch on the right side, holding the
toy bottom down. Crochet from the
next stitch counterclockwise.

 Forelegs
The description of the rounds is the same for all types of yarn.

1. 7 sc along the front side of the foreleg, 5 sc along the back part of the
foreleg (work on the chain, if it is difficult to pick up chains, use a smaller

It is NECESSARILY to watch the video, which shows
crocheting of round 1 and 1st stitch of round 2 for a
plush rabbit.
So that there is no hole, when connecting the top and
bottom of the foreleg, we additionally insert a hook
into the corner. There should be 3 loops on the hook,
which we crochet together. But this is not
considered a decrease, since the total number of
stitches does not change.

For crocheting fluffy rabbit, watch the video to understand how to crochet the
corners of the forelegs without holes. But do not forget that the place of yarn
entry and crocheting direction are different for you.

Hold the toy in the same way as when crocheting the first leg. Crochet
the left leg for a plush rabbit and the right leg for a fluffy rabbit in the
same way as the first one. Attach the yarn to the side stitch, between the
right and left forelegs. The description of the rounds is the same as for
the right one. For a plush toy, crocheting goes clockwise, for a fluffy toy -
counterclockwise.

Hold a plush toy with head down; a fluffy toy - head up.

Make a tightening for safety eyes. If your eyes are with a loop, then sew

Embroider a nose. Mark the points for embroidery with pins.

The upper pins are between rounds 5-6. The middle pin is one round
lower. The lower pin is two rounds below the middle.

 Assembly
Fix the ears with pins, the upper part of the ear in round 1, the lower
part in round 3. The ears are located obliquely, the upper part is one
stitch closer in front, the lower part is slightly behind.
Sew on the ears. Bring the ends of the threads into one stitch, tie
them together and hide them inside the head.

Fix the hind legs with pins, check that the hind legs serve as additional
support. If it is sewn too low, then the rabbit will not stand steadily.
My lower part of the leg is sewn to round 21, the upper part to round 22.

Fix the tail with pins: the lower part to round 26, the upper part to round
24, sew it on.

 Assembly
The rabbit in the first photo is crocheted in 2 different threads
"Kamtex Cotton Grass + Chinese Velour" with the wrong side out.
Before assembling the rabbit, you need to comb all the pieces.
Comb with a Velcro or slicker. This is a rather long process.
In the video, I show how I comb the forelegs, using the example of a
large rabbit.
