The inquest of statistics such as birth

The birth rate is a term word to define


how many babies are born every year
Birth/Death Rates per 1000 people. The death rate is
another term word to represent how
many people die in a year per 1000
people. Sadly, naturally, the death rate is
usually greater than the birth rate.

The difference between the number of


live births and the number of deaths in a
Natural Increase year, which then gets divided by the mid-
year population of that year, then gets
multiplied by a factor, which is usually
1000.

In a given year, the number of emigrants


leaving an area of origin per 1,000
Emigration population in that region of origin is the
Emigration rate.

The number of immigrants coming to a


location per 1000 people at that location
Immigration in a given year.

The difference between the number of


emigrants and the number of immigrants
Net Migration throughout the year.
The number of individuals increasing in
a population is the population GROWTH
Population Growth Rate rate.

The amount of time it will take for the


given population to double. Mainly, it is
Doubling Time dependant on the Population Growth
Rate, but can be used for other statistics
that grow over time.

The estimated number of years it will


take for investment or money to double.
Rule of 70 It is similar to the term “doubling time”.

The dependency load or dependency


ratio is the number of dependants in a
Dependency Load population which then gets divided by
the number of working-age range
people.

Population pyramid or also known as the


“age-sex pyramid” which includes in the
Population Pyramid distribution of several different groups in
the form of population. The shape is a
pyramid to represent that the population
is usually growing.
