Background of the Study
Objective;
The objective of this study is to identify the health risk impacts of Improper
Waste Disposal and develop recommendations for the implementation of appropriate
waste management practices. The study will focus on the impact of Improper Waste
Disposal on Students, as well as the health and safety of Butag National High
School. The study will examine the economic implications of inadequate waste
management.
Research Question;
1. What are the specific health risks associated with improper waste disposal on
students of Butag National Highschool?
3. What are the potential respiratory health effects resulting from exposure to
pollutants caused by improper waste disposal at Butag National Highschool?
4. How does the contamination of soil and water sources due to improper waste
disposal affect the overall health of students at Butag National Highschool?
Hypothesis;
It will explore the health risks associated with such practices and the
potential environmental pollution resulting from improper waste management. It is
important to note the delimitations of this study. The research will focus solely on the
students of Butag National High School and will not extend to other stakeholders
such as teachers, staff, or the broader community. The study will also be limited to
the academic year 2023-2024, thereby providing a snapshot of the prevailing
conditions during that specific period. By examining the scope and delimitations of
this study, a comprehensive understanding of the extent of improper waste disposal
and its implications for the students of Butag National High School can be gained.
This knowledge will serve as a foundation for developing targeted interventions and
strategies to address the issue and promote proper waste management practices
within the school community.
