Solid waste management is one of the issues that many countries are dealing with.

Poor solid
waste management will cause a slew of issues in the areas of health, the environment, and
socioeconomics. Because educational institutions are agents of change, R.A. Solid waste
management principles are being introduced into scientific education as part of Project No.
9003. In terms of reduction, students' solid waste management techniques. In terms of solid
waste management, reduction is the preferred method. Reduction conserves natural resources,
decreases waste toxicity, and lowers expenses.
This study examines senior high school students' solid waste management understanding and
behaviors at a state institution. Students have sufficient awareness of the concept of solid
waste, the consequences of inappropriate solid waste disposal, solid waste forbidden activities,
school efforts related to solid waste, the relevance of solid waste management, and students'
duties, according to the findings. Students, on the other hand, have limited awareness of the
many regulations governing solid waste disposal.
These findings imply that schools and other institutions concerned with solid waste
management should perform extensive information distribution on applicable legislation.
Television or radio, parents, and social media all play a role in raising awareness about solid
waste management. This conclusion shows that the government may make use of these
platforms to convey information about solid waste management. In terms of segregation,
reduction, reuse, recycle, and disposal, the results also demonstrated that students had strong
solid waste management practices.
