MUSIC
 Francisco Santiago was Romantic in style, incorporating Western forms and
techniques with folk materials, and needed to support himself by teaching piano.
 Cayabyab was able to compose and to record his own composition with 16 different
voices and his compositional style makes much use of syncopation, extended
chords, and chromatic harmony.
 Molina’s was conferred as the First National Artist in Music.
 At the age of 5 Abelardo was taught how to read solfeggio and know how to play
bandurria and to compose a waltz.
 Lucio San Pedro was started composing and he studied the banjo which inspired
him to become a serious musician.
 The simple melody, emotional lyrics, and easy harmony of "Bayan Ko" make it easy
for people to sing together and feel united.
 The characteristic of "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" includes a simple melody and easy
harmony, reflecting the composer's style and conveying themes of love for the
country and unity among Filipinos.
