NON -VERBAL CUES
In face-to-face interactions, nonverbal cues
play a crucial role alongside verbal
communication. Call center agents may not
have the advantage of utilizing these nonverbal
cues, but in other face-to-face interactions,
they can have a significant impact on the
message being conveyed.
HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF NONVERBAL
CUES IN FACE-TO-FACE INTERACTIONS:

1. Hand Gestures: Using hand movements to

emphasize a point, show direction, or convey a
specific meaning.
2. Eye Contact: Maintaining eye contact to establish
trust, show attentiveness, and engage with the
person you're communicating with.

3. Lip Movements: Subtle movements of the lips can

provide additional information or emphasize certain
words or phrases.
4. Sighs: A sigh can convey frustration, disappointment, or
relief, adding emotional context to the conversation.

5. Quick or Delayed Responses: The speed of response

can indicate attentiveness, comprehension, or
hesitation.
.These nonverbal cues, when combined with verbal
communication, help to enhance the overall
understanding of the message being conveyed. They
provide additional layers of meaning and context,
allowing for a more nuanced and effective
communication experience.
