Subject Projected Grade Approach to Learning

English Mrs Elliott A Meeting expectations
Writing fluently and thoughtfully. Lara should aim for more flair in her essays to secure the top grade - and she should
read more poems to practise for the April assessment.
English Mr Todd A Meeting expectations
Lara has been a little quieter this term; the occasional Prep essay task has fallen short of the usual standard (timings?).
However, her wider research skills continue to be strong.
Music Mr L Tao A* Exceeding expectations
Outstanding performance in the recent test; working very hard and making excellent progress. Essay work is really
improving. Well done!
Music Mr Creed A* Exceeding expectations
Omolara did very well in the February test (84% A*) and her regular essays are always strong. Well done!
Music Mr Clements A Meeting expectations
Working well, as ever - and taking a healthily critical approach to her harmony workings. Composition is often well
crafted - it would benefit now from applying the harmony 'rules' learnt elsewhere with slightly greater consistency.
Spanish Mr Caro Solano A Exceeding expectations
Lara continues to maintain her exceptionally high standards. Excellent questioning and production of higher level
language in all areas of her work. Very well done!
Spanish Miss Díaz Rogado A Exceeding expectations
Omolara continues to impress in Spanish, particularly on the grammatical front. She can however be a bit shy when it
comes to using target language in the classroom. Omolara would make more progress and would receive more
feedback if she made most of the opportunities for spontaneous oral interactions.
Theatre Studies Mr Munday-Webb B Meeting expectations
Lara is working hard, she needs to challenge herself to the experimental and playful in the devising process. Written
work is purposeful detailed and submitted on time.
Theatre Studies Miss Kenny B Exceeding expectations
Lara's Working Notebook is coming along nicely; her first draft is well structured and it's clear she's following the
guidance from lessons. Her practical work is coming along steadily, and I'm delighted she's embraced the live-music
aspect of Kneehigh's work. She must be mindful not to hide behind the violin, and develop her own character as well.

Tutor Comment
Omolara has continued to excel in and out of the classroom. Although she has demonstrated exceptional
understanding of her subjects and has received a very positive report, she must take her teachers' feedback on board
to enhance her performance even further. Overall, she shows great promise and potential for growth. Well done on
another fantastic term, Omolara!
Approach to Learning
Every pupil's approach to learning is graded in every subject and in every assessment or reporting round according to
the following descriptors:
· Outstanding effort: recognises instances of exceptional effort that deserve to be celebrated.
· Exceeding expectations: shows initiative in improving their own learning in the classroom and in prep.
· Meeting expectations: works hard, acts on feedback received and is a positive influence in the classroom
· Inconsistent: an irregular but significant shortfall in effort. May have handed prep in late, or it may have required
redrafting. May have been unproductive in class or in prep.
· Unsatisfactory: falls short of the expected standards in more than one area.

Projected Grade
The Projected Grade is the grade that the teacher believes is most likely to be achieved in the final exam for their
subject, based on the evidence of the last assessment period and the wider context of other work produced up to
that point.
