Topic: Current Trends in Philippine Education

In today's time, the learning method is gradually being changed, there are many different ways
to do the learning even if it is not done in the same classroom. With the help of technology everything
became possible. There is having an online discussion, making reports or any task to be done using
cellphone, computer and internet. Technology offers greater flexibility in the way we study. Unlike more
traditional ways of learning where students would have to travel to access physical resources at a library,
technology has enabled students to access learning resources with the click of a button.

Despite of many things that technology helps in learning, there are still some things we need to
consider. One is the extent of the internet's coverage, there are still many areas that are not yet reached
by the internet, so students with such problems are given the modular method. In face-to-face classes,
blended learning can happen. I am looking for necessary things on the internet and I will use them in
face-to-face classes such as pictures, videos and activities that can be used in teaching. Gamification is
also possible when I create output for the students, like I will choose the best work and give a reward so
that the student will have motivation to improve their output. I also have an activity that is done in the
form of a puzzle.

Behind the use of technology, there are still negative effects on students so we still need to teach
them to be responsible user of technology especially the internet. So as a teacher, we still need to guide
students because despite the advance of our technology, we still have things that we cannot see in them.
We need to be sensitive to the actions and attitudes they show because nowadays many young people
have problems that are not addressed and we will only know if something bad has happened to them.
