    Dear Mr. Ricky:

    I am writing to explain my absence from your classes due to unforeseen


    circumstances. My father died due to sudden cardiac arrest last March 7,
    2024 and my family is currently grieving. I will be absent for 1 week from
    March 11-15, 2024. This is really hard for our family and we are trying to
    cope up with the things we need to accept.

    I kindly request your understanding and assistance in catching up on any


    missed coursework or assignments. I am committed to putting in extra effort
    to ensure that I do not fall behind in my studies.
