The topics discussed included the identification of health disparities and their application in patient
care, along with an overview of fMRI usage in cognitive neuroscience.
• Gained introductory knowledge of the statistical research software, ArcGis Pro, and acquired skills
to categorize codes and use an open database for recognizing trends in public health.

• Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program was created to provide minority students with
experiences that foster successful matriculation into health-professional schools.
• Attended weekly meetings focused on cultivating pre-medical skills and competencies.
Howard University Nutrition Club Washington, DC

• Assisted the president in ensuring that meetings adhere to procedures and the club constitution,
and initiates and responds to correspondence between club members.

VOLUNTEERING
Inaugural Black Farmers Caucus Conference Washington, DC
Volunteer January 2023
• Gathering of Black farmers in Washington, DC to discuss challenges navigated while operating
urban farms and provided information on the importance of work promoting health and providing
education for their local communities.
• Assisted with the hosting of the conference at Howard University, helped to set up the event, direct
individuals to break-out sessions, and serve food.
