WEEK 1 REFLECTION

This week, I learned a lot about the fundamentals of the teaching internship. Mrs.
Annebeth P. Pumicpic served as my advisor in Grade 2. Beginning a teaching internship has
been a transformative and enlightening experience, giving me a multifaceted perspective on
the complexities of education. Throughout my journey, I've faced numerous challenges,
celebrated successes, and grown both personally and professionally. This week, I gave my
first demonstration with the assistance and guidance of my cooperating teacher. Mrs.
Annebeth was extremely helpful in developing my lesson plan, handling her students
effectively, and delivering my lesson. She also taught me how to integrate concepts across the
curriculum.

One of the most important aspects of the internship, I learned, was the opportunity to interact
with a diverse group of students. Interacting with students from various backgrounds,
learning styles, and abilities has helped me understand the importance of individualized and
inclusive teaching practices. Adapting my lesson plans to meet different learning needs has
not only improved my teaching skills, but has also reinforced my belief that education should
be available to all. The mentorship I received constructive feedback and guidance, which
helped me improve my teaching strategies. My cooperating teacher also taught me how to
integrate across subjects.

WEEK 2 REFLECTION

This is my final week of the Grade 2 Pumicpic. This week, I also gave my second and
third demonstrations in the subjects English and Science. I discovered that the internship had
introduced me to the administrative side of education, emphasizing the delicate balance
between curriculum planning, assessment design, and classroom management. Understanding
the significance of effective communication with parents, administrators, and other teachers
has been a critical lesson in creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
Furthermore, the internship demonstrated the importance of reflective teaching practices.

Regularly analyzing my lessons, assessing student engagement, and soliciting feedback have
all become important aspects of my professional development. Recognizing areas for
improvement and being open to continuous learning have become guiding principles in my
educational philosophy. To summarize, the teaching internship was a rich and enlightening
experience that provided me with a diverse set of skills, perspectives, and a renewed
commitment to the field of education. As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons
learned, the relationships formed, and a strong sense of responsibility to improve the lives of
my future students.
