I. OBJECTIVES Cognitive: Define what following simple direction is


Psychomotor: Follows simple directions
Affective: Share the importance of following simple directions
A. Content Standards Demonstrate the ability to formulate ideas into sentences or
longer texts using conventional spelling
B. Performance Standards Listen to and follows simple directions. Recognized the value of
having a good study habits
C. Learning Competencies/ At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
Objectives 1. identify what following simple direction is
Write LC code for each 2. perform and follows simple direction
3. share the importance of following simple direction

A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer Through video presentation
b. Energizer Through video presentation
c. Setting of Standards The teacher will discuss the classroom agreement
d. Checking of attendance The teacher will ask the pupils who is absent.
e. Review The teacher will ask what was the topic last meeting.

A. Drill The teacher will show a video (action song)


After that the teacher will ask the pupils how are they feeling

B. Activity Individual Activity!

The teacher will let the pupils play a game called Simon says!

Mechanics of the game:


The teacher will play the role as Simon, then the pupils will
follow what the teacher says.
Simon Says:
1. Tap your head.
2. Pretend like you are sleeping
3. Flap your arms like a bird.
4. Touch your nose.
5. Close your eyes.

Group Activity
Group 1: Fix Me!
The pupils will fix and paste the picture together.

Group 2: Give Me!


The pupils will give at least 2 insights about the importance
of following direction.

Group 3: Act Me!


The pupils will act out the given directions.

Group 4: Arrange Me!


The pupils will arrange the jumbled letters.
Jumbled letters: FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS
C. Analysis The teacher will ask questions about the activities.

Can you give an example of a time when following directions led
to a successful outcome?
D. Abstraction The teacher will discuss the topic.

Directions is an instructions or tells you what to do hat need to


be followed.

Following Directions shows your ability to complete a task or a


request. It requires you following the given directions.

In following directions you have to read the given directions


carefully and understand it.

Two types of Directions


Command is when someone ordered you.
Request is an act of asking politely for something.

Why is it important to follow direction?

1. To avoid any trouble or danger at home, in park or school.


2. It is also to make sure that things are done right.

For example:
Your mother will instruct you to wash the dishes and if you did
it after she said it, you are already following directions.
E. Application Group Activity:
Group 1
Draw the following:
> Draw a heart
>Encircle the Heart you draw
> Color the heart red

Group 2
List down atleast 3 examples of command and request.

Group 3:
Follow the directions given and act it out.

Group 4:
Describe the pictures.

V. Generalization The teacher will ask questions to recall how important to follow
directions. And ask the following questions:

What have you learned today?


In Following directions, what should you do?
Why is it important to accurately follow directions given orally or
in written form?

F. Evaluation Directions: Read and understand the directions carefully.

1. Draw a square.
2. At the top of the square, draw a triangle.
3. Then, draw a small vertical rectangle inside the square.
4. Write your name inside the traingle.
5. List down your family member (mother, father, brother,
sister) inside the square.
G. Assignment List down the steps on how to cook rice.
