Content standard: The students will identify the different types of sentences such as
interrogative, declarative, imperative and exclamatory.

Performance standard: The students will use the four types of in different life situations

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to;
a. Identify the four types of sentences
b. Construct interrogative, declarative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences
c. Show teamwork and cooperation through participating in a group activity

II. SUBJECT MATTER


a. Topic: four types of sentences
b. Reference: “the four types of sentences”

IV. LESSON PROCEDURE


a. Preliminary Activities
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Review of the previous lesson
 Reading of class rules

b. Developing Activity
Motivation: let the students ask their classmates that:
Seatmate 1: “are you ready to listen?”
Seatmate 2: “yes, I am ready!”

c. Activity
The teacher will be divided the students into three, each group will be given a
piece of paper with words written on the. They will be asked to arrange the
words in order to make a sentence.
They will come up with the following.
1. Please give the envelop.
2. When did you visit your friends?
3. Please give the envelop.
Presentation of the lesson
After the students finished the activity, the teacher will discuss each answer of
the group.
Ask: anybody who can tell me what you have notice with the following
sentence?

Discussion
The teacher will be discussing the meaning of a sentence and the four types of
sentences.
Declarative sentence helps in making statements and ends with period.
Interrogative sentence is a simple to understand as it helps in asking questions.
Imperative sentence uses in giving demand or instructions.
Exclamatory sentence uses to express deep feelings or emotions.

d. Analysis
The teacher will show a picture on the board, and let the students form a
sentence using the four types of sentences.
Picture 1- a picture of tree
Picture 2- a picture of classroom
Picture 3- a picture of flower vase.

f. Application
Group activity: The students will group into three each group will be given a
piece of paper and make two sentences based on what have written on the
paper.
Group 1: Interrogative, declarative sentence
Group 2: Exclamatory, interrogative sentence
Group 3: Declarative, imperative sentence

V. EVALUATION
Directions: Read the following sentences and mark whether declarative,
interrogative, imperative and exclamatory.

1. Do you drink milk daily?


2. Stars are twinkling in the sky.
3. Ah! What a lovely rose.
4. Let us go for a river bath.
5. Let us go to the river to swim.
6. The train is not running on time.
7. Where has Rohan gone?
8. Call in the doctor please.
9. Kindly lend me your book.
10. I like this book.

In 1 whole clean sheet of paper write 2 sentences in each types of sentences.
