 Summary of activity:

Last class. The teens were enlightened upon reading the 10

commandments. They were amazed to know that the seventh day was

not Sunday. Before that, they believed the seventh day was

Sunday. They accepted this truth. They decided to come to

Sabbath tomorrow and experience the rest God designed for the

body and the soul. We gave them certificates.

Skill(s) learned or experienced by the student.

1. I learned that the Sabbath is one of the reasons to accept

Jesus.

2. Knowing that Sunday was not the Sabbath, they said,

“Something’s fishy” in Catholicism.

Insights gained by the student about Urban Ministry

1. Jesus keeps the Sabbath and has something to do as Jesus

is also a “sabbath” or “rest.”

2. The healthy lifestyle class creates a bond with these

teenage youth. We have a special group chat just for our

circle. It developed a relationship between us. Most of

all, it led them to a new relationship with Jesus.

3. Even if they were not baptized, their fellowship with

God’s people was a sign of conversion in their hearts.
