TEN DAYS IN PUERTO RICO

Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful and interesting islands in the Caribbean Sea. We
hope that you decide to come with us as we see some of the best things the island has to offer
in a small group (maximum 6 tour guests) riding in the air-conditioned comfort of our
minivan.
Unlike most other organized tours, which hurry their groups from one place to the next
without a break, we never plan activities for more than half of each day. If you like, you can
spend your free time just relaxing or discovering new things on your own. Or if you prefer,
your guide can always suggest something else, and he is available to drive you wherever you
like, 24 hours a day.
We have also chosen comfortable, but affordable accommodations for you to enjoy. Some
of the hotels you will stay at are paradores, small, independently owned hotels with real
local Puerto Rican atmosphere. Many of these small hotels even have swimming pools.

Days 1-3 San Juan. During the days, we have plenty of time to see the city and learn about
its history. One day’s activities include a guided tour of Old San Juan, along with
a visit to El Morro, a fortress the Spanish started building in 1539. Old San Juan is
also a good place to spend your evenings, where you can visit as many pubs or
dance all night to some of the best salsa music on the island.
Day 4 Camuy Caves. Here we will visit the largest caves in Puerto Rico, which contain
one of the longest underground rivers in the Americas. We then continue to
Rincon, which has excellent beaches.
Day 5 San German. This, the second-oldest city in Puerto Rico, has a beautiful historic
centre, as well as the oldest church on the island.
Days 6-7 Mona Island. Except for the island’s animals and workers at the visitor’s centre,
this island is completely uninhabited. We will camp on a beautiful, deserted beach.
Days 8-9 Ponce. Puerto Rico’s second-largest city. One of the things we will see is Ponce’s
famous 1882 red and black striped fire station, which is now a museum.
Day 10 San Juan. Fly home after a traditional Puerto Rican lunch.
