Day 1: Math Whole Class: I written feedback on
each students paper. If the student
got a questions wrong, I wrote out
how to solve the problem. If the
student got the question write I
wrote a comment like I love how
you used your strategies! or That is
exactly how that is done, awesome!
Student 1: This child was given oral
feedback. This feedback was given
while the student was struggling to
answer a problem. I asked the
student what strategy they could
use. When they responded with the
correct feedback, I immediately
gave them a high five and told them
that they had an amazing memory.
Student 2: This student is a
struggling reader so I provided
them with verbal feedback. After I
looked over all of the questions. I
pulled out the questions that the
student got wrong and went over
them with her one on one. I asked
her questions about how she solved
the problem and then reminded her
to use her strategies. I modeled the
specific strategy for one problem
and then she did one using the same
strategy. When the student used the
strategy I gave her a high-five and
said awesome job using that
strategy.
Day 2: LA/SS Whole Class: The whole class
received written feedback on their
rubric. The feedback consisted of
comments like I love your design
on your suitcase! You look ready
for space! and I wish you had
added a little bit more color but I
love the choices you made!
1. I would provide them with
a chart that would be taped
to their desk for them to
remember what the
strategies are and how they
would use them. I would
use visuals since both
students are struggling
readers.
2. The follow up activity
would be done in a small
group and the students
would complete a game
where they need to use the
strategies to answer the
questions. This will help
them practice using their
strategies. As they get
more right and get better at
the strategy, the questions
will get harder.
1. I will tape the rubric with
the feedback on their desk.
This will remind them of
things they could improve
on but also remind them
that they are getting better
everyday.

Student 1: This student received the their squares before

written feedback but I also pulled spending them.

mean? This question was answered
immediately.

Student 2: This student received the

them aside and talked to them about
their rubric and their suitcase. I
explained to them what I was
looking for and what I saw on their
suitcase. I told this student that I
noticed a lot of growth in her
gluing skills and listening skills.
Day 3: Science Whole Class: The whole class 1- There will be a question

hear their thinking. The student said

that she was confused as to what
she needed to do. However, she
never asked for further instruction.
Once the student had the
instructions repeated, she got them
all correct. I told the student that we
would come up with some way for
her to ask for help without her
feeling embarrassed.
