1. Tell me about yourself.

Hello, I’m Jhon Denver Manongdo. Currently a 4th year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
student. I study in National University – Manila. I am a Kumon Graduate, and I am an SM Scholar
since 2020. Currently, I have completed an online webinar in Construction Methods and Project
Management about Earthmoving Materials,Excavation and Lifting, as well as Loading and
Hauling. I also have basic knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, STAAD, and Microsoft
Apps.

2. What are your strengths?

My strength is that I can adapt to the environment like fast-paced activities. I am flexible and I
always manage my time efficiently.

3. What are your weaknesses?

Classroom based, my weakness is that I criticize myself if I have provided enough help to the
people around me, or to my group even though I have already did my assigned works. I also am
too focused in providing for my family financially, because I want to work as soon as possible to
relieve them from financial burdens.

4. What are your goals?

My goal in this internship is to get technical knowledge regarding estimation, project
management, designing in AutoCAD, Revit and STAAD. Additionally goal is also to improve my
network and to have guidance from young and old engineers, skilled workers and other
professionals.

5. How do you prioritize your work?

I prioritize my work by keeping my work on time, I distribute them between hours so I can manage
everything even if the time is so thin.

6. What are your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement is that I was able to earn the SM College Scholarship because if I did
not pass and got it, I won’t become a Civil Engineering student.

7. Why did you choose your major?

I choose my major because of my background in Mathematics. I have studied for more than 6
years in Kumon Math Program and they said CE will have lots of Maths so I enrolled in CE.

8. Questions about the company

What position would I be having if I were to be taken as an intern?
Also, would it be possible if I can be taken to the site visits with the engineers?
Where in NCR would I be having my internship?

9. How would others describe you?

The others would describe me as the man who is silent but then works hard. Also, a person who
helps whenever they need me.

10. What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of myself for not being a burden to my family financially, because I received an
SM Scholarship, so they won’t have problems about my education.
11. Describe your knowledge about our company.
SM Development Corporation (SMDC) - is a residential property developer. SMDC is one of the
subsidiaries of SM(shoemart) group of companies. It was founded by Tatang Henry Sy Sr. and
now its Chairman of the Board is Sir Henry Sy Jr. while it’s President is Mr. Jose Mari Banzon. It
was formed in 1996, the goal was to offer Filipinos a place where they can live in style, comfort
and convenience. Its headquarter is in Pasay, Two-Ecom Centre Tower B.

12. Describe your relevant coursework.

Because of real estate development, my course would be important as I can use my knowledge
in project management, scheduling, estimation and modeling of structures.

13. What makes an effective team?

What makes an effective team is the communication and meeting. Also individual knowledge
skills are needed because once all minds are put into same page, an innovative work will be
created.

15. What are your favorite classes?

My favorite classes is contract administration, and project management.

16. What are your plans after graduation?

My plans are to enroll myself in udemy and attend courses regarding CAPM. I intend to hone my
skills before I work in the company, but then the one company I will apply into is the SMDC, SM
EDD and SCMC.

17. What was your biggest mistake?

My biggest mistake is that I used to not study well in my Integration 1 subject. The effect was that
I did not pass it in time. To make up with it, I studied very hard, download books to diversify my
knowledge and fundamentals. I passed it, and now I am in my Integration 3 subject.

18. What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are watching motivational videos, business related videos on YouTube, and reading
articles about successful CEOs.

You should hire me because I know I can help the team, I am respectful to my seniors and they
can ask me to do works that is align to my scope of work. I also don’t give up whenever I have
tasks, so they can rely on me to do like AutoCAD drafting, and estimation.
