The diagram demonstrates what a home smokery looks like and the

usage of smoked fish.

Overall, it is noticeable that the process encompasses 3 chief stages,


commencing with the lid being opened for ventilation and
culminating in the process in which the final smoked fishes are hung
over inside a box

In the first step of the process, the lid is opened to let streams of air
go inside into an underground section, before being used as a
catalyst for the following step. Subsequently, the air flows into
another separate perpendicular room to the right of the former
one. A load of logs piles up into tiers, which are burned by the fire
below. The opening of the hole is covered by a small lid.

Regarding the third phase in the process of producing smoked fish,


a bending funnel is directed upwards to the next burning place.
When the logs in the second part burn, smoke is then produced and
passes through this comparatively small pipe to reach the opening
of the box where fish and meat are hung individually by a short
rope, which is above the ground level
