1. Maintenance Planning Functions

- Long and short term planning
 Every maintenance task is under control and has a dedicated schedule. A graphical display
shows, with an easy-to-use color coded chart the Short / Medium / Long terms deadlines for:
 Airworthiness documents (A/C Certificates, Weighing, Radio Station License..)
 MEL items
 Time controlled items (Calendar / FH / FC / APU Hours…)
 Checks
 ADs/SBs
 Deferred items…
It is possible to tune the short / medium / long term deadlines per A/C tail number, giving
additional flexibility and accuracy to the planning.

- ADs/SBs Management
 A dedicated fully integrated module to capture, monitor, launch Ads, SBs and other
documents, either from the authorities, the manufacturers or the company (e.g. Engineering
Orders).
 Capability to link / replace documents, to attach content and external documents (pdf, tif,
Word…) that can be printed along with the Work Order cover page for the embodiment of
the applicable document.
 Management of modifications and standard (for both airframes and components)
 ADs and SBs can be applicable on airframes or components, with possible selection on range
of tail number or serial numbers
 Generation of Ads / SBs status by aircraft, by component for internal use, customers and
authorities.

- Tracking in hours, cycles and calendar time

 The maintenance tasks, the A/C & component ageing can be tracked in flight hours, flight
cycles (with ratio for touch & go if required), in days (calendar time) and also in
“nonstandard” ageing, such as APU hours and cycles, hotel mode…
- Job card creation
 The job cards are created in AMASIS (cover page) and can be attached to graphical
documents (AMM, Job Instruction Cards, SB…)

- Component History
 The technical and logistics history of every component is available without any limitation of
time or number of records. Every document can be displayed with a simple click.

- Man hour planning

 For every task, the man hours required, by qualification, can be captured. A workload by
workshop is then available. The forecasted hours are also available for work package and a
graphical tool shows

- Purchase plan with reference to planned maintenance

 The Auto-provisioning module provides consumption forecasts by Part number based on the
scheduled maintenance consolidated by the corrective maintenance history. Taking into
consideration the planned issues and entries, AMASIS propose a purchase plan and pre-
generate purchase orders.

- Provisioning
 The entire provisioning process is covered by AMASIS
 Initial internal request with reason, task reference, A/C, user, deadline (date +
hour)…,
 Reply updating automatically the status of the request (not managed, rejected,
pending, received, issued…),
 Status of the request directly available on the related task (Work Order, Work
Package item),
 Document generation from the request itself (quotation request / order / transfer
note / issue slip…)
 Automatic warning to the requester when a requested part is received,
 Issue generated or attached to close the request.

2. Technical Records
- Document Management
 Any kind of maintenance document are declared, performed and tracked
 Manufacturers’ documents (AMM, CMM, JIC, SB, AOL…)
 Authorities’ documents (AD, national requirements…)
 Company’s documents (Engineering orders, internal Procedures…)
Such documents are mainly under the responsibility of the Engineering Dept and can be
tracked by the Planning Dept, A/C or component wise thanks to schedules automatically
updated according to the ageing of the linked A/C or component.

 Electronic documents (PDF, TIF, WORK, EXCEL files, pictures, videos…) can also be linked to
AMASIS records (Job Cards, SB and AD, components, Part Numbers…). Therefore, such
document can be displayed or automatically printed with AMASIS working documents (Work
Orders, Work Packages, Follow-up sheets…).

 A Library Management Module covers all the functions required to control, order, copy and
dispatch the proper documents required to perform the maintenance according to the
regulation. Library officers and QA can make sure that every location; every workshop has the
applicable version of the MPDs, the AMM, the SBs etc…

- Control of technical Publications

 A Library Management Module covers all the functions required to control, order, copy and
dispatch the proper documents required to perform the maintenance according to the
regulation. Library officers and QA can make sure that every location; every workshop has the

3. Maintenance
- Automatic task Import
 MPD (s) or Operators Maintenance Programs can be loaded electronically in AMASIS
 During the implementation phase
 to manage a revision

- Task control
 Every task, A/C or component wise can be tracked to ensure the airworthiness of the fleet.
Simulation tools and tasks schedules by A/C, by station (location)… are the solution to control
every task easily and safely.

- Subtask and work cards

 AMASIS tasks can be linked with other documents (Task relation management). The work
cards have subtasks (one to X) that can be performed by group or individually.

- Manpower Control System

 Estimated and performed man-hours are monitored / captured task wise (Work order / work
package items). Manpower is controlled by skill / qualification. Every man-hour captured is
cross checked to make sure that the personnel performing the task has the right ability. The
system manages the experience calculation for every worker.
 The task schedule gives a workload planning by location (workshop as line Maintenance /
battery / Wheels & Brakes…)

- Defect Control
 Defect (current and deferred, can be easily controlled and flagged as MEL / CDL …). If it is a
MEL, the deadline is automatically calculated based on the values approved by your
authorities. The graphical Planning highlight on real time basis (subject to the A/C ageing
accuracy) the status of the open MEL items.
 For additional tasks (findings), the system generates automatically a linked item in the work
package and control if every defect has an answer (deferred due to time / material needs) to
authorize the Work package closure.

6. Stores

- Tools management
 Tools are controlled individually (P/N + S/N). They can be allocated to a worker or a workshop
that are responsible for it.
 If the tool is subject to calibration / bench test / control…, a simulation tool warns the tools
administrators when such tasks have to be performed.
 A tool can be considered as an asset, subject to valuation and depreciation. It can be sent for
repair / calibration with a re-calculation of the next deadline

- Material shortages Analysis

 Stock cards propose stock levels management, with values for Minimum Stock / Ordering
Point / Maximum Stock.
 Graphical alerts and reports ease the stock levels control to avoid shortage and expensive
AOG

 The Auto-provisioning module provides consumption forecasts by Part number based on the
planned maintenance consolidated by the corrective maintenance history. Such tool is time
saving and reduce the risk of shortage.

- Stock allocation and picking

 In AMASIS, the issues linked to the material request allocate the material. The requester can
print the issue slip, considered then like a pick list. If the material is not used, it can be return
to the shelf and the movement is tracked.

- Electronic Material Requisition System with electronic approval function

 The Requisition functions allow the users (Production / Workshop / Planning / Stores…) to
communicate their material and tools needs.

 Warranty functions are available for components. The system calculates the warranty limits
(calendar / Flight hours / flight cycles…). Warning are sent to the users if the part is under
warranty but removed and sent for repair.
 Warranty information can be loaded along with the Aircraft Configuration for new aircrafts.

- Shelf life Control and Inventory

 The Shelf life is controlled and can be define at the P/N level, but also location wise. It means
that a same P/N can have different shelf time according to the storage conditions. A report
highlights the expired P/N by location (with simulation ability).
 The S/N or batch number proposed for an issue takes into consideration the expiry date to
optimize the shelf life management.

- Barcode reading & writing capability

 Bar coding reading and writing capability are available either for the Man-hours management
(to improve the data collection) and the Logistics module (receipt / issue process and stock-
take). One of our customers also uses RFID tags with AMASIS to name the staff.

- Receiving module
 AMASIS receipt process allows differentiating the parts that belongs to the company and the
parts owned by other entities (suppliers or customers). The quality control can raise no
conformity and assign reasons (lack of documentation, discrepancies on the quantity…).
