Project Title: ONLINE ELECTRICITY BILLING SYSTEM

Abstract:
The Online Electricity Billing System is a web-based application designed to simplify the billing process for
electricity consumers. The project’s primary objective is to minimize paper usage. By eliminating physical bills,
we contribute to environmental conservation. The reduction in paper waste aligns with global efforts to combat
climate change and promote sustainable practices. The system streamlines various billing operations. Automated
processes handle bill generation, payment tracking, and consumption history retrieval. This efficiency translates
to faster service for users. The Online Electricity Billing System not only contributes to a greener environment
but also empowers consumers with efficient, reliable, and user-friendly tools for managing their electricity
accounts. By providing users direct access to their account details, the system enhances transparency. The system
would be having two logins : the administrative and user login. The administrator can view the user's account
details and can add or update the customer's information of consuming units of energy of the current month in
their account. The Admin has to feed the system with the electricity usage data into respective users account. The
system then calculates the electricity bill for every user and updates the information into their account every
month. Users can then view their electricity bill and pay before the month end.
