The two given charts illustrate the percentage of the day employed people spent
doing distinguished activities in 1958 and 2008.
Overall, as can be seen from the graphs, while Sleeping and Going out decreased
over 2 periods, the opposite was true for the others, as well as Other remained.
Moreover, Sleeping and Going out witnessed dramatic change in the figures.
Firtly, in 1958, Travelling was the least prevelent percentage of the day forces
spent doing different activities which accounted for 2%. While Working was 33%,
is the most common activity, is slightly more popular than Sleeping, which makes
up one –third of a day. Next, Sleeping, which occupied 32%, is absolutely four
times as popular as Relaxing, which was 8%. Moreover, the figure of day for
working is dramatically more prevelent than Traveling to work. Beside, Going out
is considerablely more popular than Travelling to work of 30%.
Secondly, in 2008, while the proportion of working in the day reached the highest
figure, the smallest percentage of the day is Going out, which constituted 6%, is as
popular as Other acivites (6%). Morover, Sleeping, which is quarter of the figure,
witnessed a over two times as common as Relaxing, which is almost tenth. Next,
Travelling, which is 8%, is modestly more common than Going out, which makes
up 6%. Finally, a enoumous difference of nearly 30% between Working (42%) and
Relaxing at home was be witnessed.
