Thank you for your email regarding the recent incident that occurred at your office, where bleach was
used during your weekly cleaning. I sincerely apologize for the event and have enclosed a written
guarantee, as requested, stating that bleach, and all other toxic products, will not be used again to clean
your workplace.

Green Earth Solutions has been offering environmentally friendly cleaning services for a decade. As a
member of the Canada Green Building Association, we pride ourselves in using only chemical free
products to meet our clients’ needs while being mindful of our environmental impact. One of the
cleansers we use which exemplifies our company ethos is Purism – a hydrogen peroxide-based product
oftentimes used as a bleach substitute. It is extremely effective tackling most cleaning needs.
Unfortunately, however, it was unable to successfully clean one area of your office and bleach was used.

My assistant, Mary Blight, explained the incident, stating that she used bleach during your cleaning on
Sunday, January 28, as she encountered mold under the sink in your office’s staff kitchen. Mary is well-
versed in our company’s mandate. However, she wanted to ensure that Red Mile’s office was cleaned
thoroughly and safe for your clients and staff, especially those who are sensitive to mold or prone to
developing respiratory issues. She has promised that she will not break the terms of the client contract
again and will adhere to only using non-toxic products moving forward.

I have taken this opportunity to remind Mary, as well as the rest of my staff, of the importance of using
non-toxic cleaning products. Also, upon discovering that Purism was unable to sufficiently remove mold,
I have contacted my suppliers requesting they provide me with an environmentally safe product that is
able to do so. I will update our product list and contract when this becomes available.

Please review the enclosed written guarantee to ensure it meets your requirements. You will note that I
have also enclosed an updated service receipt for our cleaning of Red Mile Accounting. All fees for the
January 28 session have been waived as we failed to meet your specifications. Feel free to contact me,
