Statement of Purpose for M.S in Business Analytics

Respected Sir/Ma’am,

As an aspiring Business Analyst with a strong foundation in information management with a proven track
record in development of innovative products, I am eager to pursue the M.S in Business Analytics program
at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In today's information-driven world, the ability to understand,
analyze, and use of data effectively is becoming increasingly crucial. I firmly believe that obtaining a
Master degree in Business Analytics will allow me to develop the necessary Knowledge and skills to excel
in this field.

My fascination in this field began during my undergraduate in Information Management as a student,

where I was exposed to various programming languages and statistical concepts. As I delved deeper into
the field, I realized the great potential of data in solving complex problems and its driven decisions. The
more I learned, the more I realized how data has steeped practically in every sector, including finance,
healthcare, hospitality sector and marketing. My previous internship as a business analyst has equipped
me with practical experience in data interpretation and problem-solving, and I am eager to further
enhance these abilities through the M.S program. Also, during my professional experience as a mid-level
product officer in a Fintech start up company, I had the opportunity to collaborate with business analysts
for the innovation of remittance application focusing on the people who lives abroad and are in need to
transfer their money to their loved ones. The product includes iSend Singapore and Australia. The
firsthand experience with the skilled people in the team led me towards the positive impact of data-driven
insights. My desire to become a Business Analyst comes from my passion for continuous learning and
improvement. I have excellent management skills, great creativity, and the ability to visualize and
communicate complex information effectively.

I am particularly drawn towards your esteemed institution's Master program in Business Analytics
because of its comprehensive curriculum, renowned faculty, and state-of-the-art resources. The
program's emphasis on practical applications of business analytics problems within real companies, as
well as the emphasis on communication and persuasion through data and hands-on projects that aligns
perfectly with my education and professional background. These components will not only complement
my prior experience but also provide me with the necessary tools to thrive in the dynamic field of business
analytics.

Furthermore, the job market for individuals with a Business Analytics is highly promising, with a significant
demand for professionals who can drive informed decision-making through statistical analysis. The
program's ability to prepare graduates for success in this fast-growing and competitive field is a key factor
in my decision to pursue this academic path.

In addition to my previous response, I have completed a 5-month internship as a Business Analyst at

Continental Solutions. This experience has provided me with practical exposure to data interpretation,
problem-solving, and the application of analytical skills in a professional setting. I am confident that the
knowledge and expertise gained during this internship, combined with the specialized training offered in
the M.S in Business Analytics program at the RPI, will enable me to make a significant impact in the field
of business analytics. I am mindful about the interdisciplinary collaboration is crucial within the field of
business analytics. Thus, I am excited about the thought of interacting with students from diverse
backgrounds who will share a common passion for business analytics. I believe that this collaborative
environment will cultivate a rich intellectual trade and challenge me to think critically and creatively.

Apart from my academic background and professional goals, I also believe in utilizing my knowledge in
the field of business analytics for social good. I am particularly interested in leveraging data to address
societal challenges and make a positive impact. I am determined to utilize the skills acquired during my
Master's program to contribute to the betterment of society.

With the constant support of my family, especially my parents, who supported my decision to study
abroad, I promised to use this opportunity to grow personally and professionally. By pursuing a Master
degree in Business Analytics from RPI will be the next logical step in my academic and professional
journey. While there will be equally deserving candidates for this program, I truly believe that my
professional background, academic orientation, and strong research sets me apart from others.
