The Scania T range of Trucks have been de­
signed around the well known and well proven
Scania drivelines but with the emphasis in two
major areas. Driver environment, and opera­
tional suitability and serviceability.
Suitability for operations is achieved by the
precise matching of frames, springs, axles
and drivelines to suit individual requirements.
The new T program offers a range of Trucks
from 16,500 kgs GVW to 36,000 kgs GVW as
rigids, tractors and drawbars in 4 x 2 , 6 x 2
and 6 x 4 configurations.
Serviceability starts with the one piece glass
fibre reinforced bonnet which tilts forward for
engine maintenance. Elsewhere on the Truck,
electrical components have been centrally
grouped inside the cab for protection and ea­
se of checking. Similarly, air lines and check
valves have been grouped and centrally loca­
ted for ease of maintenance. Brake lines are
manufactured from high pressure nylon and
clearly coded for ease of identification.

Vertical air intake ensures a supply of

The completely new cab fitted to the Scania T
program launches a new era of normal control
trucks. The all steel cab, built to comply with
rigorous Swedish safety standards, offers the
driver a safe, secure workplace. Inside the
cab, every effort has been made to ensure
that drivers of all shapes and sizes remain
comfortable and relaxed throughout their work­
ing day. The interior is large, roomy and well
proportioned with instruments and controls in
all the right places. The standard of cab fur­
nishing will flatter any driver whilst still retain­
ing the operational practicability for which
Scania has become world renowned.
With the T program truck range, Scania have
developed a bonnetted truck suitable for any
task in any transport environment.
