The school was established in 1935 as a primary school and acquired the lot as a
reservation. Jaliobong Elementary School’s roots delve deep into the history of
education in the region.
The school site, initially surveyed in October 1972 with lot numbers 2035 and
2036, spans an impressive 2, 300.00 hectares. August 1972, marked a pivotal moment as
the school applied for registration based on the school site card and tax declaration.
The inaugural years of the school were marked by visionary leaders who
paved the way for educational excellence. Under the guidance of individuals like
Vicente Tamayo, Pedro V. Salvatierra, Jose B. Grana, Fidel M. Macatigue and Isidro
V. Domingo, the school adapted and thrived in the ever-changing landscape of
education, until its formative years where passionate leaders followed the footsteps of
its previous leaders and continue to deliver the mission of providing quality education
to its learners.
From the establishment of the complete elementary program in 1946, the first
graduating batch marched proudly on their first Graduation rites in the year 1952. This
year marked the school's transformative journey, a testament to its commitment to
educational excellence. The inaugural graduation ceremony not only celebrated
academic achievements but also laid the foundation for a tradition of success that
would resonate through the halls of Jaliobong Elementary School for years to come. As
the school continued to evolve, the echoes of those early achievements resonated,
shaping the character and identity of Jaliobong Elementary School as a beacon of
knowledge and a hub of educational achievement in the community.
As the continued support of the community, barangay leaders, stakeholders, and
the faculty leads the school into the present and future, the legacy of Jaliobong
Elementary School continues to grow. The school, with its rich history, remains a pillar of
