Drawings & Other Design Details

Schematic Layout Generated by Software:

It shall contain details of length, height, unit location & Floor name on schematic layout.

Shop Floor Drawings:

1. Define different SMMS systems e.g. System A, System B or System 1, System 2 etc.
2. Copper piping of different systems shall be shown with different colors.
3. Indoor units shall be with system no & unit number e.g. A-1, C-13 etc
4. Mention copper pipe size & branch model name on shop floor drawings compulsorily.
5. Control cabling loop is to be shown with dotted line.
6. Drain piping is to be shown with different color. Max. 4 units shall be connected to one drain line header.
Show cleaning port (plug) in drain header at suitable location for cleaning in future.
7. Show acoustic lining for 40% of the duct length for high static ductable units. Design the ducts on low
velocity.
8. Mention on drawings that
For High Static Ductable units:
• Wooden trapdoor is must & trapdoors shall be acoustically insulated.
• Area above false ceiling around high static ductable shall also be acoustically lined.
Legends on Shop Floor Drawings:

1. Show typical hanging arrangement for indoor units e.g. Cassette with threaded rod, nuts, washer, anchor
fastener etc.
2. Typical installation arrangement for copper pipe, cabling and drain pipe on floor and in shaft.
3. Along with typical drain connection also show typical fresh air connection to cassette.(Flexible connection,
Flow regulator , rubber gasket etc)
4. Drawings must contain important sections indicating True ceiling height, Bottom of duct (BOD), Bottom of
unit (BOU), false ceiling height etc to avoid confusion at site.
5. Enlarge section of shaft /riser showing wall used for copper piping, cabling & support with reference to other
services
6. Fixing details of grille / diffuser / slot diffusers shall be shown separately in section.
7. Compulsorily mention on drawings that “runners /members must be provided by false ceiling contractor for
collar erection and grille fixing.”

• Prepare Electrical Load list for Project as per attached format to be submitted to consultants & client.
