Re: Fur Ball Fundraiser
Hi Linda,
You will never guess how successful this year’s Fur Ball was this
weekend. Thanks to a large turnout, many generous bids for
auction items, and great organizers, some $4500 was cleared. This will be a great
assistance to the shelter, which, as you know, has been suffering through
cutbacks lately due to less city funding.
I want to thank you personally for donating the photograph of Honey. It was a
great draw, and it brought in $550 on its own. People were anxious to actually
have an original Moreno photograph. It was a fine thing for you to do, and we
will be pleased to place you on for this past year.
I hope you enjoyed . The band and comedians were kind
enough to donate their time, and the dinner was partially donated by the hotel,
which made our lives a lot easier in terms of turning a profit.
Please drop by and say hello to all of our feline and canine residents as well as to
me sometime soon. We would all of our latest plans for
improving our facility.
Best wishes,

Ken

Dear Mr. Locke:

I am looking for summer employment or at the very least an
internship.
My teacher, David Bianco, suggested I contact you about the possibility of
finding a position with firm for the summer. He told me that
you have been very receptive in the past about hiring students who are in his
department.
I have experience working in offices and am an excellent keyboarder. Last
summer I worked as a receptionist in a law firm, where there were more than 10
employees, and thoroughly myself. I am hoping that working
at the office would prove an excellent experience and that I
would learn a great deal.
Please let me know if you would like me to come by for an interview. I am
enclosing my resume.

Most sincerely,

Anita White
