Reflective Curriculum: An approach to the contemporary period

After reading the article entitled "Good Education in an Age of Measurement: On the
Need to Reconnect with the Question of Purpose in Education," it seems that I've gained a good
understanding of what it refers to. It talks about what exactly is the purpose of the education and
the actual functions educational systems perform. An educational method or practices that make
distinctions between the ways in which education might contribute to qualification, socialization,
and subjectification, and create excellent education in a systematic manner. We always have an
impact on socialization and subjectification when we engage in qualification. Similar to this,
whenever we socialize, we always do it in reference to a certain piece of material that connects
with the qualifying function and affects subjectification. And when we participate in education
that prioritizes subjectification, we typically still do so in connection to a certain body of
curriculum content, which always still has a socializing effect. This is important when it comes
to daily educational activities and those times when we specifically evaluate our own teaching
methods and students' academic progress, such as during student assessments, program and
practice evaluations, and when we as educators are required to give an explanation for our
decisions and behaviors.
