Ethics is a set of moral principles and a branch of philosophy that deals with morality. It's
a set of rules regarding human behavior that concerns what's good/right and bad/wrong. It has to
do with how people make decisions and spend their lives. In short, from our personal lives and
professional fields, ethics has an impact on the decisions we make and the behavior we take.
Even so, ethics is important in our daily living because it will guide us to make a better or
positive decisions and actions. Ethics enlightens us what we should do rather than what we want
to do. It encourage people behave with positive traits, compassion and love, respect and honesty.

However, in times gone by, morality issues arise due to pandemic. It was one of the most
difficult trials arise in human life. Life has changed drastically since there was a COVID-19
outbreak that spreads across the whole world. It has gravely wounded the world’s environment,
political, social and economic gears with serious consequences affecting all communities and
individuals. Since the spread of virus is continuous, this actively demonstrates that millions of
people have suffered so many times which led to a dramatic loss along the lines of human life,
jobs, financial, support services and incapability to connect with someone easily and
experiencing radical changes in ways of life. On the other hand, despite the pandemic currently
facing the country, people are being shaped how to be independent when it comes to personal
living and it has shown how important working together is while continuing to resist the struggle
in life and to make the best out of every worst-case scenario.

Specifically, Covid-19 pandemic changed the way of living, particularly its behavior and
decisions. We faced difficulties about how we survive each days, how we live together, how we
interact and how to do things better. From my observation, people nowadays are more
independent than before. Many realizations have taken place because of the pandemic. In fact,
people learn more and grow. At this point, I would say that people are becoming more critical in
their thinking and decision making. Due to the pandemic, people’s minds are more open to what
are the right/good and wrong/bad practices that they should have been paying attention to for a
long time. Pandemic leads people to do things better with positive decisions, integrity and proper
actions. Behind the negative impact of disease outbreak, it improve the behavior of people by
carefully considering the consequences occur during pandemic, it became the way for each
individual to become more independent, appreciate even little things and do good things.
Pandemic awakens our minds to recognize the significant role we act in our surroundings and
encourages us to consider about how we might care for one another. So that, ethics is absolutely
important in this time of pandemic in order to guide each individual to make positive decisions
and actions. We should be aware of everyone’s behavior because considering ethics in our lives
respects our humanity.
