Moving forward to the RRL of the study, the researchers gathered essential articles related to

the conducted research. According to Capriola's article, the learning interest of the students is
an important thing to gain success in learning. And one thing that affects this variable is the
teaching strategies.
Same as with Hattie, et al., and Singh they asserted that there are multiple techniques that can
be used in teaching which are align to the students' way of inheriting knowledge. Most of them
are devised by psychologist such as lecture teaching, discussion, demonstration and inquiry
teaching method.
Lecture Teaching
- Lecture teaching method has been used for a long time for education in colleges and is used to
teach structured bodies of information. Align with this is the Lecture Theory which states that
main objective of lectures should be the acquisition of information by students. Lectures are
also perceived as being passive and a one-way communication channel.
Discussion Teaching
- Next, is the discussion teaching method. This method focuses on creating an interaction
between the lecturer and the students. It also encourages higher-level thinking abilities such as
investigating opposing ideas and assessing evidences. Recitation is the most common type of
contact between instructors and students. Realting this to the Social Constructivism Theory,
which states that the development of knowledge focuses on interacting and relying to other.
Demonstration teaching
- Third, according to Newby and associates this teaching strategy affects the interest of the
students through utilizing academic tools to demonstrate clearly the study to the students,
Connecting this with the theory of Social Cognitive, it explains that the student's attention and
interest could increase with the help of teaching materials such as visual aids and other
teaching materials.
Inquiry teaching
- on the other hand, inquiry teaching method is an effective strategy in answering things
concretely based on the basic knowledge of the student. Relating this to the theory of cognitive
constructivism, where existing knowledge are enabled to the accomodate new information.

The aforementioned strategies are said to have an effect to the academic interest of the
students. The lack of interest in learning of students is brought on by a variety of issues, and one
of them is teaching strategies. Therefore, it is crucial to encourage students' interest in learning.
Please prepare for your Final Defense.
What to prepare?

Include the following points in your discussion:

● What are your research variables?

● Relate your (all) findings to existing theories in the study.
Answer the following questions as you finish discussing the five chapters. (Discuss for 10-15
minutes)
Note: Make sure to give everyone in the group an opportunity to respond logically and
coherently.)
● What motivated you to conduct this research?
● What contribution will this research make to the body of knowledge?

gaps?)
● What limitations did you encounter?
● What sampling techniques or methods did you use? Why choose this method?
● What is/are the major findings of your study?
