Foster a deeper understanding of surgical anatomy and physiology.

Actions:

Enroll in relevant courses and workshops:


● Attend perioperative nursing courses or seminars offered by nursing schools or
professional organizations.
● Participate in workshops focusing on surgical instrumentation, sterile technique,
and patient safety in the operating room.
Seek clinical experiences in perioperative settings:
● Actively engage with OR staff to observe procedures, assist with patient care, and
learn about perioperative nursing responsibilities.
Pursue certifications and additional training:
● Obtain certification as a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) to demonstrate
competence in perioperative nursing practice.
● Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certifications to ensure readiness for emergency situations in the OR.

● Practice basic surgical techniques such as sterile gowning and gloving, draping,
and maintaining a sterile field under supervision.
