I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

A. Preliminary Activities
1. Review
B. Motivation
The students will have an initial activity. They will tell if the statement is true or false.
1. Intuitive thinking is known as the flashing of insight.
2. Intuition, like rationality is one of the tools of knowledge.
3. Rational thinking is better than intuitive thinking.
4. Analytical mind usually exercises strategic thinking.
5. Intuitive thinking involves a more spontaneous, instinctive, and unplanned
process of solving a problem
C. Discussion/Presentation
The teacher will define and explain strategic analysis and intuitive thinking.
D. Activity
The students will be grouped into four. They will analyze a certain situation and answer the
diagram.
Instruction: What will you do if you confronted are with this situation below.
Use your intuitive and rational thinking in your explanation. Write them on the four
boxes provided below.
E. Analysis
The teacher will ask the students to define strategic analysis and intuitive thinking.
1. What is strategic analysis?
2. What is intuitive thinking?
3. How important is strategic analysis in decision making?
4. How important is intuitive thinking in decision making?

F. Application
The students will analyze a picture. They will write a short essay from it.

G. Evaluation
Instruction: Read each statement carefully. Write TRUE if the statement is
true and FALSE if the statement is false.
1. Intuitive thinking is hunch-based and spontaneous.
2. Intuition is something known as infused knowledge.
3. Strategic analysis must be used always to ensure success in life.
4. Individuals engaged in strategic analysis apply all cognitive processes in the
orientation towards attainment of success in future.
5. Only the internal environment is important in strategic analysis

H. Assignment
Do research about SWOT and PEST as examples of analytical tools.
