Before stuffing, it’s a

good idea to tease out
all the seam edges and
press them flat with an
iron. This will help you to
achieve smooth curves
around the surface of
the body

4 Sew the remaining edges of the head

and body, working from the front of the
under gusset around the nose as far as the
head gusset. Continue from the back of the
head over the back of the body, then
around the tail to meet the back of the
under gusset.

5 Clip the curved seam allowances, then

turn the dog to the right side through
the gap. Tease out the seam edges and stuff
the head densely, then pad the legs but
take care not to overfill them. Slip stitch
the gap closed, then stick an eye to each
side of the head.

6 For the collar, punch a hole near

the end of a length of ribbon. Thread
through the buckle and push the prong
through the hole, then add a silver ring.
Fold the ribbon end over and secure both
in place. Make another hole for the buckle
to fasten around the neck, then trim and
cut into a point.
