AICTE ACTIVITY - 02
DEVELOPING SUSTAINABLE WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION
Water is one of the most essential resources on earth, and its sustainable management is critical for
the survival of humanity and the planet. As the global population continues to grow, and climate
change exacerbates the water crisis, there is an urgent need for sustainable water management
systems to ensure that the world has access to clean and safe water for generations to come. The
challenges associated with water management are complex and multifaceted. Water scarcity,
pollution, overconsumption, and inadequate infrastructure are some of the challenges that must be
addressed to develop a sustainable water management system. Developing a sustainable water
management system involves the integration of various elements, including policy, technology,
governance, and public participation. The benefits of developing a sustainable water management
system are numerous. It can help reduce water stress, improve water quality, protect the environment,
and enhance the resilience of communities and ecosystems to climate change. It can also promote
economic growth, create job opportunities, and foster social equity by ensuring access to safe and
clean water for all. However, developing a sustainable water management system requires a
collective effort from all stakeholders, including governments, communities, industries, and civil
society organizations. It involves the integration of different disciplines, including science,
engineering, economics, and policy, to develop effective and efficient water management strategies.
The development of a sustainable water management system is critical for ensuring the availability
of clean and safe water for present and future generations. It requires the integration of various
elements, including policy, technology, governance, and public participation, and a collective effort
from all stakeholders. Developing sustainable water management systems is not only necessary but
also a moral obligation to ensure that everyone has access to clean and safe water. With the strong
sense responsibility our Team Falcons volunteered and worked with the Government Project

Government of Karnataka’s Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Planning, Programme
Monitoring and Statistics Department to evaluate water plants to strengthen and also to streamline
RO Plants of Karnataka state which have been started during 2013-14 and 2020-21. Our team
prepared a detailed 13 page report on three RO filters installed in three hinterlands of Hassan taluk.
This report was then duly submitted to the NSS unit of our college which further submitted to
concerned authorities. We have received “Certificate of Appreciation” for our work from the office
of Programme Coordinator NSS, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.
3. Pre-deployment meeting where everyone was instructed about the survey procedure.

7. The source of the RO plant was physically checked by the team to make sure of the hygiene
condition.
8. We visited Anganvadi in each village to understand the influence of RO water plants on the
health of children.

OBJECTIVES
DESCRIPTION
Education is a fundamental right of every individual, and it is critical to a country's development and
progress. However, in many parts of the world, access to quality education remains a challenge. It is
essential to address this challenge by providing support to local schools to enhance their academic
performance and increase enrollment in higher or vocational education. The lack of adequate
educational infrastructure, teacher shortages, and inadequate funding are some of the challenges
facing local schools in many countries. These factors contribute to poor academic performance and
low enrollment rates in higher or vocational education. To address these challenges, various
interventions can be implemented to support local schools. Improving the academic performance of
local schools and increasing enrollment in higher or vocational education can have numerous
benefits. It can lead to better employment opportunities, improved earning potential, and better living
standards for individuals and their families. It can also contribute to the economic development of
the country and help address issues such as poverty, inequality, and social exclusion.
