Notes when replacing the MFP board
The MFP board replacing procedure of service manual has the error, and if that due to replacing the
MFPB of bh4052, that will be occurs C164 error, and the machine can't repair.
So, we will inform the corrected procedure of MFP board replacing.

1. Symptom
If you turn on the power immediately after replacing the MFP board, bh 4052 will occur a C164
error.
bh 4752 will not occur a C164 error, but the machine (engine) data is reset (clear).

2. Cause
If the machine type of Machine Type Select is Replaced MFPB
not entered after replacing the MFP board, the
machine (engine) data is reset.
Even if Machine Type Select information is
subsequently input after the machine (engine) NO
Set the USB
data is reset, inconsistency (mismatch) occurs Memory Card
in the engine information and the controller
information, and the trouble code C164 is
displayed at the time of startup. YES

3. Notes
When replacing the MFP board, be sure to follow the "MFP board replacement procedure".
If [Machine Type Select] is not input after replacing the MFP board, please DO NOT turn on the
power.
Even once, it will be cannot to restore if the machine (engine) data is reset.

4. Check / Action
TBD.
We will update the corrective action of C164 for bh4052 later.
And also, we will release the revised service manual of MPFB replacing procedure soon.

■ MFP board replacement procedure

1) Disconnect HDD and remove eMMC board from the MFP board.
2) Replace the MFP board.
3) Mount the eMMC board and connect the HDD that have been removed in step 1 on the new MFP
board.

4) After replacement, Insert the USB memory including the firmware into the USB port located in the lower
side of the control panel.

5) While pressing the Stop key, turn ON the main power switch.
6) Once the mark “●” appears in the upper right corner of the screen, release the finger from the Stop key.
7) Wait for about two minutes. When the Firmware Update screen appears, touch [Machine Type Select].
8) Enter [Machine] and [Type], and touch [Fix].

9) Touch [OK].

10) Install the firmware. (As needed)

11) Turn OFF the main power switch, and remove the USB memory.
12) Wait for 10 seconds, turn ON the main power switch and wait for two minutes until the machine boots
up completely.
13) Wait until [Recover Data] appears. (Since the MFP will reboot a maximum of two times by itself, it
may take up to five minutes.)
14) Touch [Recover Data], and touch [Yes].
15) Turn OFF the main power switch according to the “Turn the main power switch OFF and ON”
message. Wait for 10 seconds, and turn ON the main power switch again.
