MFP failed to send Email and Error mail is received saying


[Google had blocked a suspicious login attempt] by following settings.
- Gmail server and Google account is set as
   SMTP server and SMTP authentication setting of MFP network setting.
- [Allow less secure apps: OFF] is set in [Sign-in and security] setting of Google account.

[Cause]
MFP doesn't support OAUTH2.0 authentication protocol used by Gmail server.

Step1.Enable [2-Step Verification] in Google account specified by SMTP authentication


setting of MFP.
  1.Google account>Sign-in and security>2-Step Verification>Select
  2.Select [Start setup] button
  3.Send code to the phone
  4.Enter code to the Google page
  5.Register as a trusted computer
  6.Click [Confirm] button
 
Step2.Generate [App Passwords] at [2-Step Verification] page in Google account specified by
SMTP authentication setting of MFP.
  1.Click [App-specific passwords] tab
  2.Click [Manage application-specific passwords] button
  3.Generate [App Passwords]
Step3.Enter generated [App Passwords] to the password field of SMTP authentication at
MFP. (Please let [User ID] as it is.)
  Administrator Settings>Network Settings>E-mail TX (SMTP) setting>SMTP
