Dear Parents and Guardians,

Your child has not fulfilled the book report requirements for this nine week’s term. I am
resending the book report requirements and rubric home. If these book reports are not
completed, the zero(s) will impact your child’s grade greatly! Please sign and return this
paper with your child to acknowledge you received the second notice.

Book report requirements

I am writing this letter to share with you the Accelerated Reader (AR) requirements for the
2022 - 2023 school year. During the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Nine weeks, your child will be required to
read 2 AR books. They will also have to take the AR test on each book AND
write a report on each. Failure to complete the assignments will result in 2 zeros
each Nine Weeks. Please encourage your child/children to complete these requirements in a
timely fashion. The book report format and rubric are in your child’s binder. The year is
slipping by quickly, and before we know it the end of the year will be upon us. Any comments,
questions, or concerns please contact the office to schedule a conference. Thank you for your
continued support and encouragement.

DEADLINE for the 2nd Nine Weeks: December 9, 2022
