CE 2B Readings in Philippine
History

General Evaluation and Assessment.

How is your learning experience in this subject during this semester? State your honest
evaluation and assessment.

Readings in Philippine History is a subject in which I was able to learn about

what happened during our colonization by the Spaniards. I was able to get a glimpse of
our history. I was also able to know Andres Bonifacio and his contribution to the
Philippine Revolution as he was the former leader of the Kataastaasan,
Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan. And above all, my knowledge
regarding the revolution during Spanish colonization expanded. I felt a lot of emotions
during the discussion, especially during the last discussion about the three controversies
about which we had written a synthesis paper. These issues were the Cavite Mutiny,
the Cry of Revolution, and the Retraction of Rizal. Doing the synthesis paper helped me
understand more about the sequence of events during the Philippine Revolution. At
first, I thought I would not be able to understand the history of the Philippines because
during the first meeting, which was held online, my internet connection was very low,
which is why I was not able to keep up with the discussion. That time, my struggles
began. I was not comfortable with my internet connection. Then, after Lesson 1, the
reporting started. To be honest, I learned a lot after the reporting, since with every
report, we were tasked with writing our reflection. As well as the comparative matrix,
which I enjoyed so much. And lastly was the brochure I made with a theme of
promoting historical significance and awareness.
