The place value and the value of a digit depend on the digit’s position in
a number.
The digits can be grouped into periods, each with three place values. The
periods are separated using commas.
Numbers can be written in standard form, word form and expanded
form.
When reading a large number, consider the position of the commas. At
each comma, say the name of the period.
The digit 0 can be used as place holder.
