1). Installing or Configuring Safe Exam Browser
1. The below linked file contains all the reported problems and their solutions
while installing Safe Exam Browser.
2. This file is shared with the schools and students. And also available of the
home page of VVM Website

2). White Screen / Loading on opening SEB
1. The most common cause for this problem is the firewall and/or antivirus
setting.
2. However, there might be other configurations which is blocking the opening of
app.
3. The solution for this case is:
a. Ask the student to give exam from android app OR
b. Ask the student to give exam from the web link in Private/Incognito mode using Google
Chrome Browser on Desktop/Laptop.
3). Invalid username / password.
1. Latest passwords are sent to students via email and SMS.
2. Schools have also been emailed with the list of username and password.
3. However, students might have missed the email/sms or it is not delivered to
them.
4. The solutions:
a. A school student can contact with their school coordinator for the username/password.
b. Students can also retrieve the password using the “Forgot Password” link from the website
link. - https://vvm.org.in/login/index.php/forgot_password
c. Students can use the same link to find their username by entering their registered email or
mobile number.
d. State coordinators will have access to “view password” feature on their panel.
4). Inactive username.
1. This is the case where the student is marked as unpaid.
2. Solutions:
a. Contact your school Coordinator OR State Coordinator.
5). Questions not visible on Exam screen on Android App.
1. This mostly happens when the mobile app is low on storage memory or
available RAM.
2. Solutions:
a. Free storage by deleting unnecessary files and Apps from the mobile. Then restart the mobile
and restart the VVM Exam app.
b. Attempt from Desktop/Laptop. Or Using weblink in private window of Google Chrome.
6). Getting Exam Attempted dialog.
1. Students get this dialog when they have successfully submitted the exam.
2. Such students need not be allowed to re-attempt the exam.
7). Where to submit answer sheet text file?
1. Submission of text file is not required when upload answer-sheet is
successful.
2. However, if students cannot do online submission they email the file.
3. Schools should put all the student answer sheet in a zip file and email or
upload from school portal.

8). How can schools check if their students have
successfully submitted exam.

1. Schools can check the paid student list / referral student list. School need to
“Refresh” the page to check the updated status.
2. A column is present named “Final Given”. If the column value is “Yes” then the
student has successfully submitted the exam.
3. Students who will be doing offline submission i.e. sending answer sheet text
file will not be marked as “Yes”.
