1. OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this SOP is to outline the procedure for the mock fire drill .
It will provide guidance to Identify the evacuation routes and assembly points and how to handle
possible emergency situations that may arise.

2. SCOPE
All XYZ PVT. LTD.

3. RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 HR Admin & Security Team

1.Schedule the mock drill in advance with all relevant personnel and ensure everyone is
aware of the date and time.Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
2.Identify the fire evacuation routes and assembly areas and ensure they are clearly marked.
3.Ensure that all fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and fire systems are in good working
condition.

3.2 Fire Fighting Team/ Maintenance Team

1.The trained personnel who will act as "firefighters" should respond to the fire and take
appropriate action, following standard firefighting procedures.
2.The maintence team personnel should cut of the power to overcome the fire and
coordinate with the fire fighting team.
3.The firefighting team should communicate regularly to ensure that everyone is safe.

3.3 Area Managers/Representative

1. Managers should supervise the evacuation process to ensure that it is done in an orderly and
efficient manner.
2. Managers should conduct an evaluation of the drill to identify areas for improvement and to
ensure that the evacuation plan is updated if necessary.
3.Managers should take action plan for any incidents or challenges that occurred during
the drill while evacuation.
4.Area managers should cross verify for all the rescued employees so that someone is not
left behind.

5. PROCEDURE

5.1 Activation of Fire Alarm:

1. The designated person will activate the fire alarm, signaling the start of the mock drill.

5.2. Evacuation:

1. All personnel should immediately evacuate the building following the designated fire
evacuation routes marked with helped of the direction boards and emergency exit boards at
various location.
2. All personnel should run to the designated assembly area outside the building safely.
3. All personnel should only use the stairs to reach the Assembly point and avoid using
the elevators.

5. Evaluation:

1. The drill will be evaluated by the fire safety team and a report will be generated to identify
any areas for improvement and to ensure that the fire safety procedures are up to
date and effective.

6. Follow-up:

1. Any recommended changes or improvements will be communicated to all participants,

and necessary steps will be taken to implement the changes.

7. Conclusion:

1. The mock fire drill is a valuable tool for ensuring fire safety and educating employees on
proper evacuation procedures. Regular drills will be conducted to maintain and improve
fire safety protocols.
