Context, Roles & •I was posted to a Rural Health Training Center situated on the outskirts of the city,
Responsibilities designed specifically to enhance healthcare accessibility for individuals residing in
rural areas.
•I served as the primary contact in the Outpatient, Emergency, and Vaccination
departments. I attended to approximately 15-20 patients each day in the Outpatient
clinic, where I independently prescribed medications for common ailments and offered
patient education to promote their overall well-being.
•I administered initial first aid and promptly referred patients to the Tertiary Healthcare
Center in the event of emergencies such as Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, and Acute
Appendicitis.
•This experience deepened my understanding of the challenges faced at the Primary
Healthcare level and underscored the importance of judiciously utilizing limited
healthcare resources to deliver the highest quality care to our patients.

initial arrival.
•I assisted and performed Endotracheal Intubations for patients experiencing severe
respiratory distress.
•I took the responsibility of providing ongoing care for these patients until they were
formally admitted by in the medical ward or shifted to the ICU. This comprehensive
care included the initial diagnostic evaluation, interpretation of arterial blood gases,
prescription of appropriate medications, arranging referrals, and vigilant monitoring.
•Effectively communicated information to the attendants regarding the patient's current
condition, which also involved empathically delivering difficult news to the family.

Impactful Experience
The journey to becoming a physician in my family had always felt like a distant dream, a path paved with challenges and uncharted territories. I set
out to be the first doctor in my family, embarking on a journey that would eventually lead to the pivotal moment of applying for residency.
Throughout the journey, my family, although not versed in the world of medicine, always offered their unflagging support and encouragement. It is
not only a personal aspiration but a pathway that will undoubtedly make me a better physician, equipped with a diverse and enriching medical
