1) Explain significance of the industrial revolution and name some important inventions

industrial revolution- 18th century= the transition from creating goods only by hand to
manufacturing (using machines)
- increased the production + efficiency
- lowered prices
- migration to cities from rural areas
- technology developpment
 steam engine (steam locomotives, boats)
 the spinning jenny (machine for spinning wool or cotton, textile manufacturing)
 cotton gin (a machine that quickly and easily separates cotton fibers from their seeds)
