1 I faced a number of challenges in high school that put my resiliency and willpower to the
test. I had financial challenges as a first-generation student, which made it tough for me to
pay for my education. The situation was made worse by the loss of my father, who had been a
major source of support. The financial burden was further increased by the fact that my
mother was a homemaker at the time.
Q.2 I took issues into my own hands in order to get past these financial obstacles. I made the
decision to launch an internet store offering clothing for women. With this business, I was
able to make money and maintain my own expenses. I had to manage the business, balance
my education, and deal with the emotional fallout from my father's passing. It wasn't easy.
But my perseverance and diligence paid off. I overcame these obstacles with tenacity,
ingenuity, and pure resolve. My life over those years has made me a stronger and more
resourceful person. They showed me that setbacks may serve as springboards for development
and achievement. I am happy with my accomplishments and thankful for the lessons I learnt
looking back.
Q.3 Unquestionably, losing my father was a big challenge that affected the nuclear family as a
whole and me personally, particularly in terms of our financial security. Even though my
father didn't have a lot of education, he always wanted to see all of his kids graduate. Sadly,
he was taken too soon to complete his purpose. Following his passing, my family went
through financial difficulties and found it difficult to give the kids the supplies they needed for
school. Being a first-generation student, I had no significant support system, which made
things very difficult for my family and myself. Despite this, I continued to work for my goals
and aspirations in life, and with persistence, I completed my first degree. My goal has always
been to make my father proud, no matter where he is.

The decision to study abroad is a transformative one, fueled by curiosity, ambition, and a
thirst for new experiences. As I reflect on my own motivations, I find that several factors have
inspired me to embark on this exciting journey. First of all, there I will experience Cultural
Immersion and New Perspective of life: Studying abroad will allow me to immerse myself in a
foreign culture, breaking down barriers and forging connections. The allure lies in
experiencing daily life beyond my comfort zone—learning new norms, traditions, and societal
functions. By doing so, I gain fresh perspectives that enrich my understanding of the world.
Gaining Transformative Experiences: Amal Clooney reminds us that studying abroad can be
transformative. It’s not just about academic credits; it’s about personal growth. The
challenges I face—whether navigating public transportation or deciphering a foreign
language—shape me into a more resilient, adaptable individual.
Building Global Networks and Lifelong Friendships: Chantal Mitchell emphasizes that
studying abroad changes how we view the world. It’s not just about academic institutions; it’s
about building a global network. Lifelong friendships forged during late-night conversations
or shared adventures become invaluable.
In choosing to study abroad, I embrace the unknown, the uncomfortable, and the
exhilarating. It’s not merely about earning a degree; it’s about collecting memories,
broadening my mind, and discovering common ground with fellow humans across borders. As
I step onto that plane, I carry with me the words of Jo Andrews: “It’s a big world out there; it
would be a shame not to experience it.”
