I am thrilled to offer you admission to the 2024 Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program, located
at Yale University's campus in New Haven, CT for the following session:

● Topic: Solving Global Challenges

● Term: Session III
● Session Name: SGC III
● Dates: July 21 - August 2, 2024

Our selection committee recognized that you applied for both YYGS and YYAS, and felt that this
YYGS session would be the strongest fit for you. You will not receive any separate offers from YYAS.

Please Note: YYGS staff worked hard to guarantee that students received one of their top session
choices, while still maintaining a globally diverse representation of students for each session cohort (and
working within the limited number of spots available for each cohort). Based on our review of your
application, we are hopeful that you will be open to new experiences in this Solving Global Challenges
session, and we are excited for you to have a rewarding, enriching experience with peers around the
world during SGC III.

The full tuition cost of YYGS is $6,500 USD, which includes housing in Yale's historic residential
colleges, all instruction/programming, three (3) meals per day, and optional health insurance. Any/all
dietary restrictions/religious preferences will be accommodated.

As noted on our website and in all communications, YYGS tuition covers all on-campus components of
the program, but travel is not covered due to our program size and the legal and logistical limitations of
working with globally diverse families. All students coordinate and pay/fundraise to cover their own
transportation needs (including any fees to secure a passport and/or a travel visa).

YYGS tuition payments are non-refundable except in extreme circumstances, such as family
medical emergency or visa denial where documentation (e.g., of good faith attempts to secure a visa in a
timely fashion, a doctor’s note from a non-family member) is provided to YYGS. Thus, it is important to
talk with your family and ensure that you will be able to comply with the rules & regulations, schedule,
COVID updates, and travel needs prior to accepting or declining this offer of admission.

We are pleased to offer you the following updated Financial Aid package:

● Full Price of YYGS Tuition: $6,500 USD

● YYGS Tuition Waiver: $6,450 USD
● Total Tuition Cost for You/Your Family: $50 USD

There are several important deadlines to meet and steps to take in order to register with YYGS,
which are as follows:

● DEADLINE I: January 4, 2024

● Step 1: Complete the YYGS Admission Reply Form to accept or decline your offer of
admission.
● Step 2: Pay your Tuition payment of $50 USD
● Step 3: Please work with your parent/guardian to complete the following registration forms:
● Enrollment Agreement
● Basic Registration
● Program Insurance
● Authorizations and Releases

● Deadline II: February 4, 2024

● Step 4: Fill out YYGS Program Housing
● Step 5: Part II Forms - Please work with your parent/guardian to complete the following
forms:
● Healthcare and Medications
● Over-the-Counter Medication Authorization
● Health History and Dietary Requirements

● Deadline III: March 4, 2024

● Step 6: Part III Forms - Please work with your parent/guardian to complete the following
forms:
● Immunizations (includes providing documentation of COVID-19 vaccine)
● Check-In Confirmation
● Arrival Information
● Check-Out Confirmation
● Departure Information
● Photo Identification

Our YYGS staff is here to walk you and your family through this process. All of the paperwork,
payments, and more help us ensure that you will have a safe, fun, amazing time while learning and
meeting peers from around the world through YYGS this summer!

As noted above, Step 1 is to complete the Admission Reply Form to accept or decline. Once this is
complete, if you accept, then within 24-48 hours the system will automatically update your Applicant
Status portal with the ability to pay and complete forms.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to carefully review our YYGS website and all
YYGS resources provided to you and/or your family before reaching out to us. YYGS experiences
a high volume of emails during this time, but please don't hesitate to contact us if we can help.

Please note that YYGS offices will be closed December 22, 2023 through January 1, 2024, but we

Lastly, given that you were an Early Action applicant, that means there is still time to encourage your
friends and peers to join you this June/July and apply to YYGS! As a reminder, our Regular
Decision deadline is January 10, 2024 for anyone who may be interested.
