I. Objectives:
At the end of the session, learners are expected to:
 respond to questions about themselves and their expectations for Senior HS
 work with group by sharing one’s responses to given questions
 collaborate with a group to present their 10-years hence

II. Subject Matter:


Who am I as a Senior High School Learner?
Learning References: Teacher’s Guide book, Learner’s Material book, Other materials/
learning resources
Materials: books, internet connection
Students’ self-object representations, concept maps/graphic organizers

III. Procedures:
A. Warm Up/Review
Teacher asks the class how far have they known their teacher and asks
other details about her as regards specialization, background and credentials. (5
mins)

B. Motivation
Teacher asks the following questions:
1. What object best represents you? Why?
2. From that object, what are the positive and negative traits attached to it
that will describe you as a Senior High School learner?
C. Presentation
Teacher provides the sentence structure:

“Hello, my name is __________. The object that best represents me as a


Senior High School learner is a/an ______________ because
__________________.

D. Discussion
Teacher processes students’ answers leading to the discussion on how
Senior High School can help them achieve their goals and ambitions with the aid
of their positive personal qualities.

E. Practice
1. Students are grouped into four (Depending on the number of students)
and visualize themselves 10 years from now.
2. Each group brainstorm on creating a situation where each member
would see each other after 10 years and share everything they have
achieved as to their profession, their appearances or anything about
them in their future perceptions.
3. Teacher facilitates their discussion as to how each member
communicates to one another as regards the shift in conversations in
different communication contexts.

F. Generalization:
Teachers ask the students about:
a. the things they have shared inside the class.
b. what lesson they have learned.

IV. Evaluation:
A. Each group presents their assigned task.
B. The class evaluates the similarities and differences of each other’s personal
traits
and reflect on their knowing each other’s traits would help them to adjust
from each other.

V. Assignment:

Make a poster about yourself 10 years from now. Make a simple explanation and
be ready to share it in front of the class tomorrow.
