Community Movie Day: Improving Readiness for Advance Care Planning Among Community-Dwelling Adults
• Designed a community-based intervention to improve readiness for advance care planning
• Over 90 participants attended a free screening of the film “The Bucket List” at the local movie theater
• A 10-minute presentation about advance care planning was given
• Surveys were conducted prior to and following the intervention and data was compared
• A statistically significant (p<0.001) improvement in readiness for advance care planning was seen
